Finished 8th grade at Union Chapel school.
1934, 1935, 1937 & 1938 paid taxes in Allen Co., Ky. of $2.50 ea. yr. (Have copies of these forms).
Was in WWII 3-1-1945 to 11-7-1946. (Have copy of last army payment - Nov., 1946).
Drank a lot.
Was a farmer & carpenter. Then he worked as a presser at Washington Overall Mfg. Co. & at Porter's Dry Cleaning, Scottsville, Ky.
Left home June 26, 1948 Divorced June 6, 1949.
Never sent any money home.
Lived as a bum. Slept in old cars or in missions during the winter. Got a government check once a month. Would buy new clothes and live like a king for two or three days, until his money was gone, then it was back to living like a bum again.
Have copy of death certificate.
