Notes
a. Note:   OBITUARY. The Osceola Record (NE) April, 1934 Margaret Isabella INNESS, daughter of John and Rebecca INNESS, was born at Hanover, Indiana, October 2, 1871, and passed from this life to the heavenly home April 6th, 1934 at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 4 days. In the year 1873, with her parents, she moved to Nebraska and lived on a homestead south of Shelby. January 16th, 1895, she was married to William SCOTT. To this union four children were born: Arthur I. SCOTT and John W. SCOTT of Shelby, Nebraska, Miss Wilma SCOTT of Hastings, Nebraska, and Earl SCOTT of Chadron, Nebraska. Mrs. SCOTT's life was largely given to the duties of her home and the tasks of her Church. She became a member of the Methodist Church early in life and continued a faithful and lively member until her death. She has held many offices in the Dorcas society and in the Missionary Society as was for some years teacher of the Woman's Bible Class in the Sunday School. She will be greatly missed in all of these places. Mourning her departure are her husband, William SCOTT, her four children and four little grandsons, whom she dearly loved: Stanley, Artie, Wayne and Tommy SCOTT. There are also two sisters: Mrs. G. A. CARLSON of Albion, Nebraska and Mrs. Wm. MCKEAG of Shelby, Nebraska, and two brothers, A. J. INNNESS of Osceola, Nebraska and Wm. F. (Compiler's note: middle initial is 'T') INNESS of Shelby, Nebraska. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Shelby. Rev. E. E. Pengelly, pastor of the church, conducted the service. He was assisted by Rev. J. W. Stiverson of the U.R. Church. Interment was in the Shelby Graceland Cemetery.
