Note: Roy was born on his grandfather's farm in Craig, Nebraska. He continued to live on the farm after his marriage to Goldie Mae Riley. Their first two children were born in Craig Nebraska. He moved his family to Sterling, Colorado looking for work and their second son was born there. They later moved back to Nebraska where he continued to work until 1941 moved to Sacramento, California.
He worked for McClallen Field as a mechnic until his retirement. In 1961 he had a stroke and remained in a nursing home until his death.
