Note: Goldie was raised in the town of Craig, Nebraska. At the age of 18 she took a job helping on the Brokaw farm just out side of the town of Craig. There she meat her husband Roy he was the second son of 11 children. After their marriage they continued to stay on the farm.
When they moved to Sacrament she went to work for the Singer Company as a sewing teacher and after 20 years retired. After Roy's stroke she continued to live in their home, until health problems forced her to join her husband in the nursing home.
