Note: N1 1862 November 20 born at Chateau des Forestiers, Gironde, France. 1879 to US 1891 association with Farah Pasha in explorations in Tyre, Asia Minor. 1893 Director of Cliff Dwellers exhibit. 1900 US Census Denver, Arapahoe Co., Colorado as Hector Elliot w/wife Lanora, states his occupation as wine dealer and wife as artist. 1901 curator of the SW Society of the Archaeological Institute, later Southwest Museum. 1906 after earthquake moved to LA from San Francisco. 1908 first professor of Art History at USC. 1909 Curator of the Southwest Museum. 1910 US Census Los Angeles Assembly District 72, Los Angeles, CA w/wife. 1917 elected to new position as "Director of the Southwest Museum" 1919 February 15, died of a heart attack at home South 910 Catalina Avenue, Los Angeles. The Hector Alliot Memorial Library of Archaeology was established by the Ruskin Art Club in his honor at the Southwest Museum.
