a. Note:   James had a Blacksmith Shop in Peacock, Texas about 1910. On 26 April1914 a cyclone demolished the town, including the Blacksmith Shop. No lives were lost and only two were injured. The citizens were undaunted,tents were used for temporary places of businesses and for livingquarters. The buildings were quickly replaced and in a short timePeacock was a better town than before. The Blacksmith was sold in 1917,when the Waldrop Family moved to Buffalo Gap, Taylor County, Texas.
 James and family came to California in 1924. His intention was to go onto Oregon after a stop in Imperial Valley, California to see Family, butwhen he arrived his father was ill so they stayed. They never made iton to Oregon.
  Grandpa was a mechanic in an age of Farmers. He worked for many years inthe Chevy Dealership, Imperial Valley, California.
