Kentucky Jincy 8, B. Kentucky, (female) There is a Mahaly Thomas who married a Benagy Oates in HOpkins CO. Kentucky Feb. 7, 1881. Not sure if this is Mary E. Thomas or not. Jenny R. Thomas born May 5, 1853. Jenny is a variation for Jane. There is no Jane or Jenny with Mary her mother in 1860 Census. She must have died. Info. from 1852-1862 Vital Statistics Hopkins CO. KY births. Jincy R. Thomas is in the 1880 Hopkins Co. Census living with her brother, William C. Thomas, age 32, and his family. Jincy has a daughter Emmer D. Hanks, age 1. born approx 1879. According to David Walter Gatlin, David Thomas, their son died in the Civil War in Union Co. Kentucky. He was a Confederate Scout and was killed in action. He died without leaving any children. Mr. Gatlin does not provide a daughter by the name of Jenny R. in his information. Mr. Gatlin provides information on the death of Jency Thomas' first husband, R. H. (Dick) Hanks. Quoting, "his death is about 1880 was held to be a justified homicide alledgedly committed by his brother-in-law, C.R. Davis. It was later admitted that another man shot him. Even so, It was justified. Following the violent death of her husband, Jency was married in Hopkins Co. Jan. 18, 1881 to A.A. Sisk. They died in Marion Illinois, several years ago survived by an only child, Minnie, who died in Marion in 1852." Also, according to Mr.Gatlin, Minnie married George Kelton, of Marion Illinois, They had no children.
