According to Mr. Gatlin's data, William Ephraim Hanks was a Confederate soldier; son Thomas B. died a bachelor as did son, Granville; son Larkin was a Professor and his wife Alice was from Owensville, Indiana; Martha E. Hanks daughter of Williamson Carroll Hanks had other children besides Henry Larkin, but their names are unknown;
