Notes
a. Note:   r is not yet known, but since she had close association with Johann Jacob Dock of Uttenhoffen, it is assumed they were brother and sister. Anna (Maria) Margaretha and her husband, Johannes Stör, attended the first two christenings of Johann Jacob 's children. Also, his family attended the christening of the first Stör child. Langensoultzbach and Uttenhoffen are about twelve miles apart, but the route does not appear to be direct.
Immigration: Johannes Stör, Anna Margaretha and their children emigrated in 1737 from the Elsass-Lothringen area (Alsace-Lorraine) to America. They arrived at Philadelphia, PA, on 26 September 1737, aboard the "St. Andrew Galley." Jacob (Johannes) Stöer, Henrich Stöer and Philip Stöer are listed as passengers (males over 16 years of age.) They settled in Lancaster Co., PA, part of which later became Berks county. Four of the children of Johann Jacob Dock also emigrated to Pennsylvania, settling in what is now Berks county. A Phillip Dock, so far unidentified, emigrated to America and settled in Lancaster county possibly as early as 1720. Johannes Stör and all the Dock males in Germany were nailsmiths. Phillip Dock (abt 1723-1796) and his son, George Dock were also nailsmiths. This seems to be the tie that suggests that our ancester, Phillip Dock, came from the same area as the Docks in Zinsweiller, Uttenhoffen, Langensoultzbach and Bischweiller.
