Note:   Daily Advocate 12 Oct 1943 Joseph Idoux, 57, Dies Suddenly On Return From City Joseph Idoux, 57, of rural route 1, living on the old Freeburg road died unexpectedly at his home at 11:30 this morning after his return home from Belleville, death apparently resulting from a heart attack. He had been in falling health for some time. Idoux was born in the Stolle quarry area on October 7 1886 and his parents were Charles and Louisa Vermillion Idoux. The father was born at Stolle's the mother in Centerville Station. On January 26, 1910, he married Theresa Schrader in Cahokia who survives him. The father survives and lives with his son Charles Idoux, 7407 State Street, East St. Louis. Also surviving are six sons and four daughters. Marie, wife of Adolph Haas and Joseph H, rural route 3, Belleville Alvin in the service in Norfolk, Va Mrs Gale Baldridge in Nebraska, Vincent and Paul in the armed service overseas Clarence, Grand Rapids Nebr; Cletus, Dorothy and theresa at home He also leaves five grandchildren, four brothers, Charles, Lawrence, John and George, and two sisters, Marie and Leona He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Cathedral.
