My grandson James Faris as born on Wednesday nite the 8th day of May 1805 My granddaughter Nancy Faris was born on Sunday 5 day of April 1807 My granddaughter Elizabeth Faris & Jincey Faris was both born on Monday 3 rd day of July 1809 My granddaughter Mary E. Faris was born September 30th 1811 My granddaughter Sarah Faris was born the 2nd day of October 1813 My granddaughter Susannah Faris was born the 3rd day of April 1816 My grandson Samuel D. Faris was born 7th day of June 1818 1. Marriage record: Surety - Daniel Johns DB 24-251 22 Sep 1821, rec 22 Sep 81 Whereas by an interlocutary decree pronounced by the June 1817 court, in a suit between John Fletcher plaintiff and defendants Thos Fletcher and Nancy, Mary, Tabitha, Meaky, Betsy, Chloe, James, Susanna and Rebecca Fletcher, infants under age 21, by their special guardian Thos. Fletcher, commissioners were directed to sell 15 ac., being part of lands of Joseph Faris Sr deceased which was assigned to Kezia Fletcher, the mother of defendants, and known in division of said Joseph deceased as Lot No. 1., and whereas John Faris Sr became purchaser at price of $165., and said John Faris having departed this life, the court further orders that Philip S (L?) Grasty do convey said land to James, Nancy, Elizabeth, Jincy, Mary, Sally, Susannah & Samuel Faris, infant heirs of said John Faris, Sr. deceased. (See DB 24-250, which actually follows this deed.) DB 24-251, 22 September 1821, rec: 15 Oct 1821. Whereas John Faris Sr deceased in his lifetime for $165 sold to William Keatts, Jr., 15 acres, being part of the tract of Joseph Faris Sr deceased and known as Lot No. 1, bo. by Jesse Buckley and Jonathan B. Dawson - Now the court order that Polly B. Faris as widow of said John Faris Sr decd for herself, and Jonathan B. Dawson on behalf of James, Nancy, Elizabeth, Jincy, Mary, Sally, Sunsannah and Samuel Faris, infant children of said John Faris Sr., decd convey to said William Keatts, Jr. the aforesaid land.
