Note: Maryett has two gravestones, one in Carley's Mills and the other in Pleasant View where she is most probably buried. The Pleasant Lawn Cemetery appears to be the earlier grave and next to her grandparents. Probably she was given an addtional memorial when her parents died and were buried in Carley's Mills. A second theory would be that her remains were moved, but if that were so, then the headstone should have been removed. Pleasant Lawn has the inscription of Maryette, June 2 1856 daughter of William Cynthia age 2yrs 11mos _9days.
