Death record Sutton 15 p560 with matching dob 29.12.1901. This confirmsthe Hartlepool birth. Intestate, estate granted to Mrs Ellen Lilian Brittain 24 Fanshaws Lane Brickendon Hertford 14.4.1982. Not listed in bt but an A. Brittain at 52 Fanshaws Lane is listed.

Born 36 Uppingham Street West Hartlepool. Had moved there from 22 Winter Street (South East Ward) in the 1901 census in April. Winter St. was the next road east of Sarah St. but no longer exists (see OS 6" Revised Edition 1923 British Library)
