Note: CENSUS DATA There is no "George Donnel[l]" listed in 1820 Bond Co. There is a George Donald, though, pg 9 line 32. It may or not be the same person. FWM 0-9=2, 16-25=1; FWF 16-25=1. The age group for the wife would be correct, and for the 2 sons. But the older male, HOH, is apparently at least 2 yrs too young. The correct George would have been in the 26-44 age group. Much better is the following: 1820, North Carolina, Guilford Co pg 73 line 5: George Donnel, HOH. FWM: 0-9=4, 26-44=1; FWF 0-9=1, 26-44=1; 1 person engaged in agriculture. [The next line is John Donnel, same age groups # of people. Possibly a brother of George. And on page 75 are several other Donnel's, including another George, in the 45+ age group. Possibly "our" George's father.] 1830, Illinois, Bond Co pg 219, line 13 George Donnell, HOH. FWM: 0-4=2, 5-9=2, 10-14=2, 30-39=1; FWF: 0-4=1, 30-39=1 there are 2 George Donnell's listed in 1830 Bond Co. Both are males, age 30-39, with wives 30-39. So either could be the same George, based on that. One is on pg 219, line 13; the other on pg 223 line 10. The former is probably the correct one, however, as it shows son in both 0-4 & 5-9 age range, which corresponds to the two oldest living at home in 1850. The latter has children, but no son in the 5-9 age group. 2 13 Aug,1850, Illinois, Bond Co pg 361b family #1 lines 1-7: 1] George Donnel, age 57, sex M, occ.
