Note: Spent 47 years on the Colorado and Southern Railroad at Slater as a Track Section Foreman. After serving two years in the army in World War I. He was rated the Outstanding Legionnaire in the state of WY. He originally came to the United States at the age of 14 from Rotterdam, Holland where he immigrate to this country in October of 1910. Where he journeyed to Rock Valley, Iowa to live with an Uncle.
On his birth certificate from Holland his name is Andries Johannes Martinus Deij. When he arrived in American, they changed his name to Dey. His Social Security is Day, they had the names all changed to Dey after that.
