a. Note:   George Weatacott was born 1828 in Devon ENG near Barnstable. He came to CAN at an unknown date. He was working in Bruce Mines ON when he met a new immigrant from Tryone Co IRL near Ballygawley , He married Ann Jane Trueman May 11 1863 in Bruce Mines ON. They moved to farm Lot 38 Concession 3 NE Melancthon Twp Grey Co ON . Another farm was moved to about 1874 W Lot 25, Concession 4 Collingwood Twp Grey Co ON. They had a family of three sons & four daughters. George died in 1899. Ann Jane remarried Peter Heuser Nov 15 1899, living in Collingwood Simcoe Co.Peter went to SK but Ann felt unable to homestead again. Ann went to live in Hornby with her son George, then daughter Margaret Jane Bailey & husband William Bailey. Ann died there in 1909 & is buried in the Bailey family plot. Peter Heuser died in SK in 1909.
