Note: s lan the 8th day of March, l83l, coming to America and Andover, Illinois, in l865. The 24th day of February, she was united in marriage to Carl Peter Johson who died the l9th day of May, l9ll. Their union was blessed with four children, two having gone before, Helga, the 22nd of December, l892, and Mrs. John Burgeson the 28th of December, l9l0. The family moved to Webster county in l868. She with her family were members of the Swedish Lutheran church at Dayton, Iowa, a number of years then the family united with the Swedish Lutheran church at Harcourt. She remained a faithful member until her death. Mrs. Johnson was the oldest of a family of nine children. She passed from this life at her home in Clay township, Webster county, the 27th day of November at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 20 days. She is mourned by two children, Carl Albin Johnson and daughter, Mrs. J. W. Samuelson, three brothers, two sisters, fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren besides a large number of relatives ad a host of friends. The funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Saturday afternoon. Friends from far and near were present at the church. Her pastor, Rev. Vestlig, conducted the services, and her remains were laid to rest in the Dayton cemetery.
