Note: . He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held at 2 Monday afternoon at the Anderson Funeral Home, where the body was taken, and the Rev. John Oberg will officiate. Burial will be in Western Cemetery. Mr. Cask was born April 17, 1873 in Sweden, son of Swan and Christina Cask, and came from Sweden when he was 9. He lived in the Andover and Orion communities since then, and had lived in Orion 20 years. He was a retired farmer. He married Hilda Lindblad Sept 23, 1908, who died June 13, 1944. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Irving Johnson of Lynn Center; one son, Harold of East Moline; one sister, Mrs. Edward Frost of Maquoketa, Ia., and one grandson and one grandaughter. He was preceded in death by one son, two sisters, one brother and his parents. He had an amputated leg and lived with his daughter, Esther Johnson. Gary Johnson, his grandson, rode on the foot of the wheelchair, according to Esther Johnson. According to St. Paul Lutheran Church records, Elmer cane to America in 1884 and to St. Paul's Jan. 30 1897. (Book 4 Entry 62 Pg.11)
