  ZUELEGER
Died--At his home in the town of Medford Otto ZUELEGER, aged 59 years, 10 months and 13 days, Saturday, June 3rd, 1899.
The grim reaper, Death, has again claimed one of Medford's old and highly respected citizens, and the community is robbed of an upright and honest man, while a devoted family are left to mourn the loss of one of the members loved so well.
Mr. ZUELEGER was born in Neukirchen, Prussia, and came to America in the year 1871, first settling in Manitowoc county, this state. In 1879 he came to Medford and for the past twenty years he has made this place his home. He was one of the early pioneers and has watched and helped the growth of his home county the first with pleasure and the latter with tireless energy.
A wife, five sons and one daughter all of whom with the exception of the oldest son, Henry, make Medford their home are the immediate members of the sorrow stricken family. Henry lives at Omemee, N.D., but arrived home in time to attend the funeral, and will remain for some weeks. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the mourners in this, their hour of affliction.
The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Burzholz at the east side German Lutheran church and the remains were followed to the grave by hundreds of old friends and acquaintances of the deceased.
(Saturday, June 10, 1899, Taylor County Star and News, Medford, Wisconsin)
