Our old record book showed that Henry Root pruchased 3 spaces in Block 5, Lot 35. In our new book, this was not shown but they are on the page tht Henry Root was listed in the the front of the book. The old book and new book shows Julia Mayfield buried on #21 south on 2/4/1905; an unknown person buried on #3 south and Mrs. Oscar Mayfield is buried on it, 10/3/1908. I could not find Henry buried here, unless he is the unknown grave. N.A. Root bought lot 20, block 5. Nannie Root buried there 10/30/1920; Infant son 9/11/1920; child 6/1/1910 and daughter on 10/2/1906.
J.A. Root bought Lot 21, block 5. Child buried 10/6/1919; Martha Root 8/3/1960; John A Root 7/1/1937; Edna Pulleon 9/5/1921 and infant 12/31/1906.
William C. Barber pruchased the following spaces where Sarah Barber was buried 9/12/1919; Nora E Barber 8/5/1909; Mary Barber Root 11/2/1921; Hattie C. Barber 4/24/1933 and William C. Barber 9/15/1925.
Do you have any Mayfields in your family? It seemed starnge that Henry Root bought the space that Julia Mayfield is buried on. My grandfather's name was Oscar Mayfield and I wonder if the Oscar above was a relative of mine. My grandfather died, I think in the early 30's. He is buried at Macorber Oklahoma where a lot of Mayfields are buried. My grandmother moved to California in the 40's where she died several years back.
Died 1922, Hazel Roots house, Seminole County, Miller Township, Oklahoma
