Note:   a in 1889 with his parents Lars and Hanna Hanson. They came to Battle Lake, Minnesota in Ottertail County near Lewis' two brothers, Hans and Nels, who were farmers in Ottertail County. A third brother, Olaf, was in North Dakota. In 1895 Lars built and operated a boathouse. He also built a home at 302 Lake Avenue. According to the 1990 and 1910 census records, Lars and Hanna Hanson lived with Lewis Larson in Battle Lake Village, Ottertail County, Minnesota. Lars declared his occupation as a teamster, Lewis and a boatman. In 1912 Lewis built a new house for his parents on his brother, Hans' farm.
