a. Note:   helby, Nebraska</a> first as a farmer and later as a pharmacist. Conrad attended the gymnasiums in Euskirchen and Muenstereifel and then emigrated with a friend out of Lechenich to America. There he met his brother Edmund and managed a farm together for a few years in Polk County, Nebraska. In 1883 he established himself with his family as a druggist and pharmacist in Shelby, Nebraska. In the early 1900's sold the drug business to his sons, Franz and Karl and moved to San Diego, California./ Conrad besuchte die Gymnasium in Euskirchen und Muenstereifel und wanderte mit einem freund aus Lechenich als Siebzehnj�hriger nach Amerika asu. Hier ging er zu seinem Bruder Edmund nach Nebraska und bewirtshaftete, in den ersten Jahren mit diesem zusammen, eine Farm in Polk County. 1883 liess er sich mit seiner Familie als Drogist und Apotheker inShelby nieder.
