Note: 1850 Goshen Gore Census - William - Age 13 - Born VT Caledonia & Essex Gazelter 1887 - William Blair, road 14, farmer, 100 acres The funeral of William Blair, who passed away after nine weeks illness at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Flora Beals, Sunday, March 25, was, held at her home Tuesday, March 27. In spite of the very inclement weather there was a large company of friends. Rev. William Millar officiated and burial was in the Stannard cemetery. Mr. Blair was born in Stannard, Sept. 25, 1837. He lived in this town until about 18 years ago when he came to live with his daughter, Mrs. Beals, who then lived in North Waden. Mrs. Blair passed away thrity?five years ago. He was a quiet unassuming man, with a well preserved physique for one of his years. He is survived by his four children, Mrs. Flora Beals of this place, Mrs: Gerge Chamberlain and Gilbert Blair of St. Johnsbury, and Mrs. Mabel Gleason of Burlington, eight grandchildren and six great?grandchildren. Also a brother, Peter Blair, of Greensboro Bend.
