Jesse Ginn was married twice.By his first wife,name unknown,he had the following children:Edmund,Moses, Strauder/Strother,Jane,Martha"Patsy",Sarah,Querlis,Happy and Anna. He was a widower by 1820 and married Tabitha Brewer 1824/25 while living in Franklin Co.,TN.They had the following children: Jesse Jr.,Apaline,Melissa Ann,Caroline,Mary E., William,Jackson and Rueben. Probate Records in St.Clair Co.,AL clearly list all the above children and spouses of most. I am the gg granddaughter of Mary E. Ginn (d/o Jesse and Tabitha)who married Thomas Housley Cox in 1849 in St.Clair Co.,AL. I would be glad to exchange info.Please e-mail me "off the boards."

I just got the information last night that W.D. Ginn was related so it could be her grandfather
and not father.
In the memory book it said she was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy so I wrote the Oklahoma Chapter and ask if they knew and if I could become a member.
They wrote back that she was a member of the Oklahoma Division - Pauls Valley - Sam Davis Chapter 1386. Her ancestry was W.D.Ginn- CoA. 58th Al.Inf - birth 1850 death 1919. This chapter disbanded about 1955 - Organized 1911.
This is all so exciting for me because I have never known anything of my grandparents. My mother died when i was 9 and never thought to ask my father, who also died when i was in my 20's.
PS Im also obesessive compulsive, must run in the family.......
