Jesse Ginn was married twice.By his first wife,name unknown,he had the following children:Edmund,Moses, Strauder/Strother,Jane,Martha"Patsy",Sarah,Querlis,Happy and Anna. He was a widower by 1820 and married Tabitha Brewer 1824/25 while living in Franklin Co.,TN.They had the following children: Jesse Jr.,Apaline,Melissa Ann,Caroline,Mary E., William,Jackson and Rueben. Probate Records in St.Clair Co.,AL clearly list all the above children and spouses of most. I am the gg granddaughter of Mary E. Ginn (d/o Jesse and Tabitha)who married Thomas Housley Cox in 1849 in St.Clair Co.,AL. I would be glad to exchange info.Please e-mail me "off the boards."

Will of Jesse Ginn was dated 27 Nov 1840 in St.Clair Co,AL.Proved by oath of witness John Collins 3 Jan 1848.Recorded 24 Feb 1848. Court records show all his heirs by name:wife Tabitha;children Edmund,Moses,Strother(Strauder),Querlis,Jane Martin,Martha"Patsy"Arledge,Sarah Campbell,Happy Hedgepeth,Anna Count/Jesse,Apaline Cowan,Melissa Ann Cowan,Caroline Kyser,Mary E Cox,William,Jackson,Reuben.
