Note: ANCHOR POINT LeeRoy Jainese, 61 Anchor Point resident LeeRoy Daniel Jainese, 61, died Nov. 23, 2006, at Alaska Regional Hospital after a long illness. His ashes will be scattered at Kachemak Bay and in China, Texas. Mr. Jainese was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Beaumont, Texas. He finished 10th grade and later joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He became a resident of Alaska in 1967, living in Anchorage, Wasilla and Houston before settling in Anchor Point. He was a carpenter by trade and worked in many Bush communities throughout Alaska. He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Donna Hall; sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel, Brian and Deane, and Jason, all of California; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Rene Marro of New Hampshire; two step-children; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilson "Blondie" and Margaret of Beaumont, Texas, and Phillip of Anchor Point; sisters and brothers-in-law, Earlene Lundy, Patsy and John Denas of Sun City, Ariz., Dorothy and John Gallman of Buckeye, Ariz., and Emma Joyce and Walter Foux of Lumberton, Texas; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Arrangements are with Witzleben Family Funeral Home & Crematory.
