a. Note:   George was a long time employee of the Minneapolis Gas Company. He began his career as a clerk-typist in 1951. He held the positions of
 Senior Clerk, Employment Assistant, Supervisor of Employee Records and
 Wage and Benefits Administrator. He also served on the Board of
 Directors and as President of the Minnegasco Credit Union. He held the
 position of Pension Administrator at the time of his retirement on
 November 1, 1984.
 In addition to his official duties, George also served as the Veterans Club Permanent Secretary for 10 years from 1974 until 1984
 and had he lived, he would have been Club President in 1986. In a
 Memoriam Tribute to George, it was stated that his efforts with the
 company and the club were special; that he took an interest in each
 individual member, always providing assistance and encouragement; and
 that through his work, the Veteran's Club had been strengthened.
 George was an active member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope where he was also a member of the choir. He was a veteran of
 World War II serving in the United States Navy.
