Note: Beverly was a technician at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minnesota. She and my sister Pat were a rare combination. Both enjoyed organizing
family activities and loved to laugh and recall family events. I do
not know the reasons for her separation and subsequent divorce from
her husband but I feel strongly that Beverly never wanted a divorce. I
have always questioned the fact that the divorce became final on the
day of her birthday. To me it seemed a hateful and spiteful action on
the part of her husband. Beverly was never the same after the divorce.
She became fearful and had lost much of her openness and spontaneity.
At times she was reluctant to go out, especially in the evening.
