Note: Wednesday, December 23, 1981 Herald Press, Huntington, IN HOOVER, MARK D. Mark D. Hoover, 66, 546 Hitzfield Street, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 22, 1981) at Huntington Memorial Hospital. A native of Huntington County, Mr. Hoover lived in St. Petersburg, FLa. before returning to Huntington in 1978. He was employed as manager of General Tire Co. and later was plant manager of Inland Homes in Clinton, Iowa. He was a member of New Hope United Brethren Church and served with the Marine Corps in World War II. He was born April 14, 1915 in Lancaster Township to Charles and Emma Rilla Hosler Hoover, and his marriage was on Dec. 2, 1966 in Clinton, Iowa to the former Dorothy R. Nissen, who died Aug. 11, 1980. Survivors include two sons, David Hoover, Peru, and Timothy Hoover, Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. James (Brenda) Peed, Woodbridge, VA; a stepson and three step-daughters, all of Comanche, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Max Hoover, Huntington, and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wamsley, Mrs. John (Lucille) Truitt, and Mrs. Fern Young, all of Huntington, and Mrs. Zelma Golden, Waynedale. A brother, Claude Hoover, is deceased. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deal and Robbins Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Russell Birdsall officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. MARK HOOVER Services for Mark D. Hoover were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Deal and Robbins Funeral Home, with Rev. Russell Birdsall officiating. Pallbearers were Randall Hoover, Aaron Hoover, Herb Hoover, Adam Hoover, Robert Truitt, Larry Young, and Mark Schroder. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.
