Note: Monday, March 30, 1925 Herald-Press, Huntington, Indiana MRS. LYDIA ANN HOOVER, AGE 75, PASSES AWAY Mrs. Lydia Ann Hoover, seventy-five years, five months and fifteen days old, died Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. and Mrs. Isaac Dolby of six miles south of Huntington on the Lancaster Road. She had been ill all winter and was seriously ill two weeks. Mrs. Hoover was born October 14, 1849, in Huntington County to Levi and Abigail Sours. She married David Hoover, June 15, 1873. Five children were born to the union. Two daughters, Della and Nora Hoover, are dead. The husband died March 22, 1916. Surviving children are two sons, Charles and Melvin Hoover, of Lancaster Township and one daughter, Mrs. Isaac Dolby of Lancaster Township. There are twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One brother, Isaiah Sours, lives in Huntington Township. Mrs. Hoover lived in Lancaster Township many years and is well known. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon leaving the residence at 2 o'clock and going to the Church of the Brethren at Lancaster for services with the Rev. C. A. Thorn and the Rev. H. L. Hartsough in charge. Burial will be at Lancaster. Wednesday April 1, 1925 Herald-Press, Huntington, Indiana LYDIA M. (A.) HOOVER RITES HELD TUES. AFTERNOON AT LANCASTER CHURCH Funeral services for Lydia M. (A.) Hoover were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren with the Rev. C. A. Thorn and the Rev. H. L. Hartsough in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Charles Heaston, Mrs. Edith Bowman, Mrs. Elizabeth Lahr, and Miss Ollie Heaston. Flowers wee in charge of granddaughters, who included Esther Hoover, Zelma Hoover, Fern Hoover and Lela Dolby. Pallbearers were Claude Hoover, Walter Hoover, Howard Dolby, Donald Dolby, Lawrence Wamsley and John Truitt. Burial was at the Lancaster Cemetery.
