Note: Monday, September 8, 1919 Herald-Press, Huntington, Indiana MRS. MARY A. HOSLER, AGE 81 YEARS, DEAD NATIVE OF STARKE COUNTY, OHIO Mrs. Mary Hosler, age eighty-one years, died at 11:35 o'clock Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tully Anson, north of Mardenis in Union Township, following an illness of a year and one half. She became seriously ill six months ago. Mrs. Hosler was born August 9, 1838, in Starke County, Ohio, to Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Harter and was married in 1862 to John Hosler who died September 6, 1908 (1910). Surviving are four children: Aaron Hosler of Whitley County, Mrs. Tully Anson of Union Township, Frank Hosler and Emery Hosler, both of Huntington; one sister, Mrs. Harriet Hosler of Canton, Ohio; twenty- three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Four children who preceeded her in death were James Hosler, Mrs. Charles Hoover, Charles Edward Hosler, and Ida Ellen Hosler. Mrs. Hosler was a member of the Evangelical Church and lived in Huntington for twenty-seven years, having moved to the home of her son, Emery Hosler, after the death of her husband. The funeral will be held at the Zion Church on the Roanoke Road Wednesday afternoon. The procession will leave the home at 2 o'clock and be at the church at 2:30. The Rev. Ralph Loose of Fort Wayne will preach the funeral sermon. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery.
