Note: EDMOND D. HOPP Edmond D. Hopp, 76, of 206 Lawton Road, died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 29, 1908 in Luke Chute to Lewis and Mary R. Hale Hopp. He had lived in Marietta the past 10 years moving there from Lowell. He was a retired lockman from Lock 18 between Marietta and Belpre having worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Marietta and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. He is survived by his wife, Grace Becker Hopp, whom he married Jan 1, 1974; one daughter, Helen Wilson of Lowell; two step daughters, Carolyn Blanchard of Goose Lake, Iowa, and Frances Sprague of Marietta; three stepsons, Robert Becker, Wilford Becker and Marvin Becker, all of Marietta; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, whom he married July 2, 1930, Roberta Jackson Hopp, who died Dec. 8, 1971. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert O. Rahe officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Lowell.
