 SHREVE, Betty L., 71, of Middlebourne, W.Va., died Monday, May 14, 2001 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
 She was a member of the Eight Mile Church of Christ near Reader, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Harriet Elizabeth Gorby Smith; two daughters, Nancy Monroe and Penny Richmond; a son, Albert Shreve; three brothers, Bob, Paul and Keith Smith; two sisters, Jessie Tennant and Virginia Cowan; a grandson, Christopher Shreve.
 Surviving are two sons, Robert "Bob" Shreve of Middlebourne and Fred Shreve of Follansbee, W.Va.; three daughters, Jannie Yost of Reader, W.Va., Peggy Leek of Middlebourne, W.Va., and Darlene Fiber of New Martinsville, W.Va.; a brother, Mike Smith of Wellsburg, W.Va; a sister, Nancy Bell Hawkins of La Porte, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
 Friends will be received 2-9 p.m. Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, W.Va., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Interment in Atwood Cemetery, Atwood, W.Va.
