1860 Shelby Co. AL census (p 266, house #169) lists Wm. W. Morgan 35 farmer $200 $150 Va; wife Martha 24 N.C.; Jacob Morgan 6 Ala; May Thomas 12 Ala; and W. W. K. Reader 48 farm laborer N. C. Who is the May Thomas? Is this Wm. W. the same man as W. H. who married Martha Clarey?
1870 Clarke Co. MS (p 698, #420 Shubuta 2nd District ) lists William H. Morgan 46 shoemaker VA; Martha A. 34 NC; and Jacob D. 15 AL.
1880 Clarke Co MS (p 1A District 1) shows W. H. Morgan 57 VA Shoe-Boot Shop (both parents b VA); Mary wife 41 SC (both parents b SC); Milly Fletcher Mother-in-Law widow 70 SC (both parents b SC). It looks like Martha A. had died and William remarried between 1870 and 1880.
