a. Note:   A Baptist Minister owning a farm on the Chickahominy River which he sold in 1816 to his cousin "Thomas Bowles, son of Benjamin". He moved to Missouri about 1821 taking his mother, Sarah Bacon Bowles with him. She died in ________ One records show that the estate of Thomas Phillip passed to his wife and that that his death occured in 1795 or 1796. Five sons and two daughters and Elizabeth came to Missouri. It is believed that all were born in Henrice Co., Virginia. John married Elizabeth Longdon in Henrice Col., VA. Feb 10 18___. Date is either wrong or delse he had a former wife who was mother of the two older sons, Edmund and Thomas P.
