Notes
a. Note:   and "Martha" who's parents were born in England is listed as his sister. Martha is known to be Edward Hill's wife and her parents were born in England. Therefore, the relationships of these two women to Edward is believed to be switched.
Note:   "Ella" is reported in the 1900 Chicago census as the wife of Ed M Hill
b. Note:   in New Market, NJ. Martha was buried in Yonkers, NY (but not at Fernclff); she had pulmonary tuberculosis at the time of death. Her NJ birth record is unusual in that it only indicates the date of birth and name of parents but does not list her name. It is however believed to be her record because the date matches the family Bible record and the 1880 Yonkers census report.
Her death was noted in a Yonkers newpaper indictging her death in Chicago, and the funeral several days later at her mothers home on 163 Woodworth Ave, Yonkers.
Note:   Born in New Market, NJ; died in Chicago; her sister, Mary was also born
