Fredericka Kraber, beloved wife of the late Arthur, mother of Mrs. Carl Brommer of Medford, Ore., and Mrs. Fred H. Korthauer, grandmother of three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, sister of Mrs. Daniel C. Burnham and Mrs. Louise Greve. Resting at chapel, 79th and Emerald, till Tuesday, noon. Funeral 3 p.m., at Calvary Methodist church, 78th and Morgan. Interment Naperville. Please omit flowers.

Arthur Kraber, of 6239 Kimbark Ave. Chicago, was born in Ascherleben, Germany, Sept. 4th, 1854, and came to America in 1864. Ten years later, in 1874, he came to Naperville, Ill., where he resided about three years. During that time he was wedded to Fredericka, daughter of Daniel Garst.
In 1877 they moved to Chicago where he was employed in a meat market. About one year ago he engaged in a wholesale and retail meat market on Halsted street.
On Saturday, Mar. 31st, not feeling very well, he attempted to use the telephone to converse with his wife, when he received a paralytic stroke. He was taken to his home and medical aid given. This first stroke was followed by the second and a third which caused his death one week later, on Saturday, Apr. 7, 1906, at 2 o'clock a.m. He reached the age of 51 years, 7 months, 3 days.
He leaves a wife and three children, Louie, Clara and Louisa. The latter is married to Robert Patterson and has one son Arthur.
On Tuesday, April 10 the remains were brought to Naperville for interment. Rev. Merbach officiated at the grave, as there were no church services here.
The pall-bearers were all from the city, and their names are:
George Krapps, John Heatherington, Barney Merkwell, William Mutter, Morris Adler, and Peter Magnus.
The deceased was well known in Naperville, and his wife was raised in our city and attended the public schools. Her teachers and friends all lovingly remember her as their modest, quiet Rege Garst who now has their sincere sympathy.
The bereaved family hereby wish to offer their thanks to all friends and neighbors for their sympathy and kindness shown during this sad trial.
