The following family sketch was furnished by Lena Louise Garst Tragesser, and shows that there were other Garsts coming over at different times, and we have no way of knowing what kinships existed in the old county, and so they cannot be lined up with "our" Garst family.
Peter Garst II, son of Peter Garst I, born in Flomersheim, Germany, Mar 15 1843. Married Elizabeth Burkhart in Dirmstein, Germany, May 26, 1853. On May 18, 1884 Peter left Germany, arrived at New York, June 1, 1884, was naturalized in Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana, in 1891. He died Oct 24, 1915, and she, Sept 2, 1887

Elwood-Funeral services for Mary Anne Bouse, 76, Alatanta, who died Friday evening at Ridge Nursing Home at Arcadia following an illnese of serval years, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Leatherman Funeral Home in Tipton.
The Rev Stantey Carpenter pastor of Alatanta Christain Church, officiated. Buried was in the Fairview Cemetery, in Tipton.
Mrs Bouse was born Dec 14, 1874, in Flonerstein, Germany and was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Burkhardt Garst. She came to the United State in 1884.
She married Peter Gue in 1897. After his death she married Edward Bouse, who is also deceased.
Surviving are, a son, Peter Gue, Gary; two daughters, Mrs Marie Gerstner, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs Hazel Slilt, Anderson; three brothers, Lewis Garst Fortville, Andrew Garst Tipton, and Sylvestor Garst near Atlanta; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
