Note: Celia I. Smith, 96, died at the Anamosa Community Hospital on Monday night, Jan.24.
Born May 5, 1875, near Lynnville, she was the daughter of John H. and Anna Allen Perfect. She was married to John Wood Smith on February 17, 1901, at Norton, Kansas.
Mrs. Smith had lived at Springville for the past 12 years with her daughter. Prior to that time she lived in Delta and at rural Oskaloosa.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Marlin (Hazel) Sheehy of Springville; two sons, Alva P. Smith of Long Beach, Calif., and Ernest P. Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, A. A. Perfect of St. Joseph, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Paul, of Olympia, Washington, four sisters and four brothers.
Burial will be in Garrett Cemetery, Delta, Iowa.
