Notes
a. Note:   Howard served in the army of the First World War, and saw duty in Europe. While fighting in France he was wounded with the gas that was used during that war. The results of that gassing left him with residues of fainting spells if taking certain medications.
When his first born son, Donald Jean died, Howard went to a church cemetery outside of Paragould, AK where several of his wife's family were buried. This is Browns Chapel Cemetery. He walked off a large plot of ground that he thought would accommodate the graves of himself, his wife, and his seven children. The first to be buried there, was their oldest son, Donald Jean Tarrant in 1940. Then Thomas Howard Tarrant in 1975, next was Nell Smith Tarrant in 1982, Howard Tarrant in 1986, followed by Marilyn LaJuan Tarrant Trull in 1997. The last location is reserved for Barbara Nell Tarrant Redden.
