Note: SOURCE: Ulster & Albany County, NY Ancestors & Descendents by Lorraine Luke URL: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=gemini&id=I3015 Her parents were Barent Van Rottmer [c1590-before 1632] and Gusje/Geesje/Gijsje (Barents) Pieters. Another record claims Annetje was born in Germany. 1632 . . . Resource: THE NORWEGIAN BRADT FAMILY ? Lorine McGinnis Schulze. Gissel or Geesie Barentsdr. [Barentsdochter] assisted her daughter Annatie Barents Van Rottmer at the signing of banns on 27 March 1632 for her marriage to Albert Andriesse n. Annetie was 24 years old. When Annatie's brother Barent Barents signed his banns at the age of 22, on 21 Apr. 1632 he too was assisted by his mother. At the time Gissel was living on the Schaepensteegje or Sheep Alley in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Geesie's husband Barent Rottmer is never listed, so it is assumed he died before 1632. Geesie's daughter, Annetie Bradt, appears to have died early in 1661 since a payment for a pall was made on 13 February that year.
