Note: Santa Maria (CA) Times, Saturday, 7 March 2015, Page B2 Phyllis & Kenneth Frank Phyllis Frank, 83, of Santa Rosa, California, passed away on February 24th, 2015. Her Dearest husband of 64 years, Kenneth Frank, 86, of Santa Rosa, California, preceded her to Heaven by passing away five weeks earlier on January 18th, 2015. Phyllis was born to Ralph and Rose Smith in Havre, Montana. The family later moved to Kalispell, Montana where Phyllis grew up. Kenneth was born to Anton and Caroline Frank of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Kenneth grew up on the family farm and would get up at five o'clock in the morning to go outside where he and his brothers would take care of the animals and work the family's farm. He said it was hard work and not much fun. While looking for work in Kalispell MT, Kenneth contacted the local electical union. It was at this time Phyllis was working as a secretary for her Dad who was the head of the local electrical union. When they met it was love at first sight. They were married a year later. Phyllis worked for 23 years for the Lompoc Public Library. Kenneth worked for 32 years as a Civil Servant at Vandenberg Air Force Base. After they retired, Ken and Phyllis joined the Mobile Missionary Assistance Program where they traveled across the country serving the Lord. Over their 64 wonderful years of marriage Kenneth and Phyllis had 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Theirs was truly a marriage made in heaven. Kenneth and Phyllis are survived by their four chlldren; Sharon Salerno of Santa Maria, California; Janice Larson (Tom) of Santa Rosa, California; Kenneth Jr. (Sandra) of Sacramento, California; and David Frank (Rodenna) of Anamosa, Iowa. Phylllis is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann (Elwin) Mateka of Columbia Falls, Montana; Peggy Martin (James) of Palm Desert, California. Kenneth is survived by brothers, George Frank of Marshfield and John (Cathy) Frank of Lake Forest, California; sisters, Virginia (Forrest) Torgerson of Iola, Wisconsin and Caroline (the late Norbert) Neumann of Marshfield, Wisconsin. A celebrative service of their 64 years of marriage will be held in Santa Rosa, California on March 13th, 2015.
