Devall Coonce and John Coons together witnessed the will of Ballish Fought on 29 May 1751 in Frederick Co., MD. On 12 Feb 1754 he purchased 70 acres in Frederick Co., MD known as "Devaull's Lot" (YS8/616;GS1/294). Deval Conce and his wife Margaret sold to Jacob Gallman on 21 Feb 1755, 70 acres of land on Grooses Branch in Frederick Co. (Book E, p. 916 Frederick Co. Deeds) On 2 Feb 1756 Devault Coonce and Margaret sold to Edward Matthias 100 acres on Abraham Creek at the foot of Kittocton Mountain called "Davis Delight" in Frederick Co. (Book E, p. 990) And on 22 Aug 1770 Devault Coons and Margaret sold to William Flick a lot in Sharpsburg, Frederick Co. (Book N, p. 305) The variation in spelling is due to the scribes interpretation of the sound of his name, as Devault signed his name "X."
