a. Note:   ly Meeting, NC, on 27 July 1793. He was received into the South West Branch Monthly Meeting of the Quakers in Ohio on 25 June 1808. He joined the Whitewater Monthly Meeting when it opened on 30 Sept 1809. On 29 Dec 1810 he was reported for drinking spirituous liquor to excess and using profane language, being condemned for that offense on 26 Jan 1811. He appears in the 1810 census for Ashe Co., NC.
  He may have been the Gasper who entered 80 acres of land in Lawrence Township of Marion County, IN in Feb 1824. Gasper did purchase section 26 of Van Buren Township, Monroe County, IN in 1825. In 1850 Jasper farmed in VanBuren Township, Monroe Co. (page 340); the value of his property was $700.00. In 1860 Casper Koons lived in Van Buren Township with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Nancy and Mary. In 1870 Gasper lived alone on his farm in Van Buren Township.
  Gasper died 25 Aug 1877 at Indian Creek Township, Monroe Co. and was buried in the Koontz Cemetery, 397 West Duvall Road, Van Buren Township, Monroe Co., IN.
