They left Hamburg on board the "Lammershagen" on the 10/04/1878. They arrived in Brisbane on the 6/08/1878 and were put into quarrantine at Peel Island. * Adolf married Maria Polzin on the 31/08/1898 at Highfields, Queensland in the Lutheran Church. * Between 1899 and 1913 they had 9 children:- 1. Ella Maria born 1899. She married William Kuhl on 20/10/1915. She died on 10/12/1976 and is buried in the Geham/Cabarlah cemetery. (Sec L, Row H,751). Wilhelm died on 21/06/1947. 2. Wilhelm born 15 November 1900 at Highfields. He married May Brown on 18/05/1932. He died on the 19/03/1983 and is buried in the Crows Nest Lawn Cemetery. (grave 074) 3. Mary Anna born 1902. She married Heinrich Christian Dioth on the 30/09/1925. 4. Alfred Louis born1904. He married Evelyn May Lowein on 20/07/1927. 5. Dorothea born 1905. She died 23/05/1911 and was buried 25/05/1911. He died 6/09/1989. * The electoral roll for the Darling Downs shows that Adolf Applied to be registered to vote in 1899 for Cawdor. He was listed as a 23 year old farmer. * Adolf died 1/09/1913 from pnuemonia. He was buried at the Geham/Cabarlah cemetery on the 3/09/1913. Has notes.
