She was the 5th of 7 children the couple had. * Maria married Adolf Otto on 31/08/1898 at the Highfields Lutheran Church in Queensland. they had 9 children:- 1. Ella Maria born 19/09/1899 at Highfields. She married her step-father's brother Wilhelm (Bill) Kuhl. Ella died on the 8/12/1976 and was buried on the 10/12/1976 at the Geham/Cabarlah cemetery. 2. Wilhelm (William) born on 15/11/1900 at Highfields. He married May Brown on 18/05/1932. He was buried on the 19/03/1983 at the Crows Nest Lawn cemetery. 3. Marie (Mary) Anna born on 23/08/1902 at Highfields. She married Heinrich Christian Dioth on 30/09/1925. 4. Alfred Louis born on 11/l12/1903 at Highfields. He married Evelyn Mary Lowein on 20/07/1927. He died on the 1/01/1960. 5. Dorothea born in 1905 at Highfields. She died on the 23/05/1911 and was buried on the 25/05/1911. John Kuhl was buried on the 15 June 1946 also at the Geham/Cabarlah cemetery. Has notes.
