!BIOGRAPHY: Oscar Sather was a proud man. He was proud of his Norwegian ancestry and proud of his home in San Francisco, California. He was an excellent carpenter, a meticulous man in his being, and proud of his beautiful home and garden. He had a gentle personality, and a mischievious sense of humor. He was a member of "Sons of Norway" and enjoy going to the Norwegian Seamans Church on Hyde Street in San Francisco. He was proud to show visitors the additions and improvements that he built onto their home. He took great pride in the extraordinary detail his wife Jenny attended to in caring for their home. He enoyed showing people her nearly countless of pieces of Needlepoint work . Her abilities in needlepoint, upholstered their fine antique furniture, and adorned the walls of their home with such sophistication that guests felt in awe that one person could accomplish so much in life. Both Oscar and Jenny were proud of their home, proud of their lovely flower gardens, and enjoyed visitors. Visiting them nearly always included a cup of coffee and some home-baked goodies, or a drink, or perhaps both. Oscar Sather and his wife Jenny were good people, good neighbors and a special joy to have had the privilege to have shared time with. Thank God for the wonderful blessing each of them gave to this life.

Bruk nr. 1 har ei skyld p�a 0,69. Jordmyren nr. 2 er noko mindre med ei skyld p�a 0,33 og vart fr�adelt nr. 1 i 1853. Bruk nr. 3 vart fr�adelt hovudbruket i 1855 og er det st�rste av bruka der med ei skyld p�a 0,93.
Garden har truleg i si tid vore s�ter for Kaldhus. Det er 8 matr. nr. p�a garden. Tafjord Kraft eig i dag br. Nr. 1, 3 og 5 (fr�a 1919). Ikkje jordbruksdrift i dag (1997).
