Notes
a. Note:   tes he ws from Neuhof ( near Triebs).
The family moved from Suckowshof to Treptow between 1829 and 1836, and emigrated to the USA in 1857, arriving in New York on 16 Jul 1857. They came via ship Anna Lange, from Bremen, in steerage quarters, manifest ID 00008999, and went to Wisconsin. Information found on Family Treemaker CD Germans to America emigration in FHL. There were also other Caliebes on that ship.
 Entry:
Calliebe, Albert, age 2 to Wisconsin
Calliebe August age 30 carpenter, to Wisconsin
Calliebe Wilhelmine age 24, carpenter to Wisconsin
(these were one family, her maiden name was Hoelke…Ms Rasch)
Kalliebe Caroline age 17, to WI
 Kalliebe Emilie age 11
 Kalliebe Friedrich age 21
 Kalliebe Friedrich age 58 carpenter
 Kalliebe Sophie age 54
 Kalliebe Therese age 15
(This was one family, with exception of Caroline.
Sophie's maiden name was Dallmann…Ms Rasch)
Ms Rash ancestors settled in Washington County, Wisconsin and belonged to David's Star Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn. . Most, if not all, of the members of that church came from the same area in Pommern. some of the family names were Dallman/Dallmer, Krause, Kressin, Hoge/Hogen, and Grase. The family attended church in Jackson, WI. Ms Rasch searched all these records. Caroline is not mentioned on any of those records. There is no birth record in 1840 for a Caroline, and the son born that year, Johann Carl Friedrich, died 8 yrs later before the emigration of the family.
There was some indication that there was a birth in 1832, a son, but he cannot be found. It is a rather long gap, 1829 to 1836 for this family, and I suspect they lived somewhere else in that time, as they do not appear as Paten either. Perhaps they had a child there which died, or a child in 1835, which died. Records for 1835 are missing. The Caroline may have been an error. Perhaps it was child # 2, listed by her maiden name and age off by 10 yrs. Obviously Friedrich age 21 was Friederike. at time of fathers death, 5 children remain. All are accounted for.
Ms Haggart is considering that Caroline may have been Caroline Kressin, the Pate of Helen Kaliebe.
Friedrich Kaliebe died in Jackson, Wisconsin, 2 Jan 1861 . At time of death he left a widow and 5 children.
Sophia Engel (Dallmann) Kaliebe died 26 July 1877 in Milwaukee
Note:   Death records in WI (per Ms Rasch) say he was from Cammin in Pommern, the marriage record sta
