  From the Obituary, South Bend [IN] Tribune, 3 May 2004: Josephine A. Creevey - March 23, 1925 -- May 1, 2004
  Josephine A. Creevey, 79, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away Saturday morning, May 1, in Hospice House of South Bend, Ind. She was born March 23, 1925, in Mishawaka, a daughter of James and Martha Kalil. Josephine grew up in Mishawaka and graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1944. On June 16, 1951, in St. Monica Catholic Church, she married John F. Creevey, and the couple made their home in Mishawaka. Josephine was employed part-time at Gerber Manufacturing, Goldblatts Department Store and the License Bureau. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. The center of her life was her family. She was very caring to all of her family, and was a wonderful and inspirational example as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Josephine is also remembered for flower gardening and her Lebanese cooking. Her surviving family includes... ...a sister, Mary L. Kalil of Mishawaka; and many loving nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Mickels and Helen Barna; and by two brothers, Louis and Peter Kalil. Friends may spend time with the family on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third St., Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill St., Mishawaka, with Rev. Fr. Robert Yast officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of St. Joseph County. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
