  Death Notice, South Bend Tribune, South Bend, IN, 25 Aug 1965, page 55: Marine Killed [photograph] The body of Pfc. James Kalil, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kalil, 11544 Lincoln Way W., Osceola [IN], is being returned to the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, for services and burial. Pfc. Kalil was killed in action Aug. 18 in Chui Lai, Republic in South Vietnam.
  Obituary, Mishawaka Enterprise, Mishawaka, IN, 2 Sep 1965, page 2: Pfc. James Noble Kalil, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter B. Kalil, 11544 Lincolnway W., Osceola [IN], was killed in action Aug. 18 in Chui Lai Republic in South Vietnam. He died from burns received when an amphibious landing vehicle was struck by enemy mortar fire. Funeral services were held Aug. 30 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Vichuras, pastor, officiating, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
